
My name is Agatha Farmer and I’m the owner and coordinator of MadJam Fitness. I’m a happily married mother of 2 children James 2 years old and Madelene 6 years old. I have always been active and in the last 2 years I have decided to turn my passion for fitness into a very rewarding career. I am a CanFit Pro Certified Instructor and have been working in the fitness industry for some time now. My background includes different variations of fitness such as running, interval and circuit training, calisthenics, weight training, bootcamp, spin, as well as both group and individual training. I have always enjoyed working out, but I find that I enjoy it so much more as I believe most of us do when I’m working out with someone simply because it is more motivational. I don’t believe in boring gym workouts, where you go do the same exercises and on most days you don’t really get any enjoyment out of it. With that kind of routine your body reaches a plateau because it is no longer being challenged simply because it is hard to do that on your own which is why there are trainers available, however, I believe that their service is overpriced simply because gyms have a rather large overhead and have no choice but to charge that much for personal trainers.
This is the reason why I decided to start MadJam Fitness because I want to offer a good affordable fitness program, we will use the outdoors to our advantage you can’t get a better gym. Using your own body weight is the ultimate way to change it. My goal for clients is to enjoy their workout I will make it both fun and social and most importantly challenging and you will be getting stronger and getting all the health benefits your body needs.
The other side of MadJam fitness is that not only do I want to make it affordable but I also want to make it accessible to everyone on their own time. If you have kids who have their own schedules why not spend some time on you and still be able to fit that in while your kids are napping or in the evenings without having to leave the house and go to the gym but get that motivational knock at the door to say Let’s do this!! I have been there and I know as mother that it is hard to try and squeeze in the time that you need for yourself. If you are busy with work or simply don’t like to train after you’re tired in the afternoon from working all day but you would like to train during your lunch, all you would need to do is make an appointment for either a half hour or hour session and we would meet you at your workplace and boost that metabolism with your choice of workout could be a run or a quick circuit training session. Whatever your lifestyle you can always squeeze in some time for your health and well being and MadJam has been created to make that more affordable and easier for you.
